Finding Your First Star

Each session with Stargraph must begin by finding a star "The Old Way".

During initial power-on, Stargraph doesn't know where it's pointing. So we need to anchor it to a known coordinate.

  1. Click the "Explore" button from the main menu.
  2. If Stargraph needs initialized, it will automatically detect this and guide you to finding a star.
  3. Point your phone at the brightest star you can see, and tap on it in the app.
  4. You will be asked to manually aim your telescope at this star or planet.
  5. Once you can see it in the viewport, confirm alignment in the app.

Congratulations! Your session is complete and you are now ready to begin using Stargraph.
